Job summary

Pafford Medical Services in Arkadelphia, AR is seeking a Flight Nurse (Full Time) to join the Air Med division. The Flight Nurse provides autonomous, evidence-based critical care transport for patients across the lifespan via rotor-wing, fixed-wing when assigned, and ground ambulances under medical direction.

Applicants must hold an unrestricted RN license and have substantial ICU/ED experience; preferred CFRN/CTRN credentials and prehospital transport expertise.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted registered nurse license in each state required for assignment and patient transport; additional state licensure within timeframe.
• At least three years and 4,000 hours of recent critical care experience in ICU or ED.
• Current ACLS, BLS; pediatric credentials (PALS/APLS/ENPC) preferred.
• NRP credential when assigned to obstetric or neonatal patients.
• ER/ICU transport experience and trauma education preferred.
• CFRN or CTRN certification within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review transport requests, receive handoff, assess patient, plan individualized care.
• Stabilize and transport adult, pediatric, neonatal, obstetric, medical, and trauma patients.
• Monitor patient, anticipate deterioration, and initiate interventions.
• Manage advanced airways, ventilation, hemodynamics, and meds.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and teams.
