Job summary

Pafford Medical Services is seeking a Flight Nurse (Full Time) to join the Air Med team in the Oklahoma City area. The role involves independent critical care transport across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients via rotor-wing, fixed-wing when assigned, and ground ambulance.

You will assess, stabilize, monitor, and transport patients, maintaining high standards of care and clear communication with receiving facilities, families, and the transport team.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in each state required for assignment and transport; additional licensure must be obtained within the timeframe established by Pafford Medical Services, Inc.
• 3+ years and 4,000+ hours of recent critical care experience in CCU/ED.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS credentials.
• Current PALS, APLS, or ENPC credential appropriate to pediatric scope.
• Current NRP credential when assigned to high-risk obstetric or neonatal patients.
• Current trauma education such as ATCN, TNATC, TPATC, ATLS audit, or equivalent.
• CFRN or CTRN certification must be obtained and maintained within two years of employment.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, clinical knowledge and skills evaluation, orientation, and competency validation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle-operation requirements when driving is assigned.

Responsibilities

• Review transport requests and develop an individualized plan of care.
• Stabilize and transport adult, pediatric, neonatal, obstetric, medical, and trauma patients.
• Continuously monitor the patient and initiate timely interventions or medical control as required.
• Manage advanced airways and critical care therapies.
• Maintain continuity of care and provide clear handoffs to teams.
• Coordinate with pilots, EMS, fire and law enforcement, referring facilities, and specialty teams.
• Complete patient care records and required documentation.
