Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation in Douglas, AZ is hiring a Flight Nurse to transport patients and perform scene call work. You will join a professional team with high safety standards, handling critical care patients in air transportation.

The role requires RN licensure in the relevant states, BLS/ACLS/PALS, EMT and trauma certifications, plus CFRN within 24 months of hire. Two 24-hour shifts weekly and company-paid crew housing are provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of Emergency or Adult Critical Care nursing experience.
• Current RN license in the states served by the area.
• EMT Certification and Trauma Certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP required prior to flight status (NRP training provided during New Hire Training).
• CFRN certification within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient situations to determine best course of action in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physician orders.
• Maintain safe, clean aircraft environment and ensure equipment inspections.
• Communicate effectively with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Document shift changes and maintain regulatory records and documentation.
