Job summary

Med-Trans in Denton, TX is hiring a Corporate Floating Flight Nurse to join a team delivering critical care transport services. The role requires an RN with emergency/critical care and flight experience, plus CFRN within 24 months.

Expect two 24-hour shifts per week, and company-paid crew housing while on shift. Applicants must hold an RN license for the states served, EMT and Trauma certifications as required, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP prior to flight status.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Three years of experience in a Flight Nurse role.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status.
• CFRN required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care scenarios.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment with regular equipment and base checks; comply with safety standards and briefings.
• Communicate professionally with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information to the transitioning team and keep accurate company and regulatory documentation.
