Job summary

Med-Trans, part of Global Medical Response, is hiring a Flight Nurse in Douglas, AZ to transport patients by air and perform scene call work with a professional team focused on safety and high-quality care.

The role requires RN licensure in the relevant states, EMT/Trauma certifications, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and CFRN within 24 months. Competitive hourly pay, a $5,000 annual area stipend, and company-paid crew housing are offered.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP provided during training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses assess situations to determine best action for patient care in critical scenarios.
• Use critical thinking to manage ill or injured adults or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and ensure equipment and base checks meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Nurses maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
