Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring a Flight Nurse to join its air transport team. You will transport patients to and from medical facilities and assist with scene calls, delivering high-quality critical care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires three years of emergency or adult critical care nursing, an active RN license for the area served, and mandatory certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) with NRP training provided during onboarding. Participation in ongoing training is expected.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification provided during new hire training).

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage the critically ill or injured patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and ensure equipment readiness and safety.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and maintain documentation and records.
