JetBlue is seeking a Flight Dispatcher to plan for the safe and efficient operation of each JetBlue flight in accordance with FARs and company guidelines, and to communicate operating plans to the System Operations team.

The Dispatcher will handle flight planning, brief captains on hazards and delays, ensure takeoff/landing parameters, and manage irregular operations, with overnight travel and a focus on safety, teamwork, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate required.
  • Two years of aviation experience.
  • Fluent English, with an English fluency assessment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US; passport required.
  • Willingness to travel overnight (20%).
  • Must maintain FAA dispatch duties including cockpit exposure.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and detail orientation.
  • Ability to think critically and work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan safe and efficient routes, fuel, alternates, and aircraft restrictions.
  • Brief captains on hazards, delays, runway construction, and curfews.
  • Ensure takeoff and landing parameters are met.
  • Provide en route flight following until arrival.
  • Proactively manage irregular operations.
  • Comply with FARs and company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
