Job summary

JetBlue is seeking a Maintenance Operations Supervisor to coordinate and oversee aircraft maintenance at JFK. You will lead cross-functional teams, determine aircraft placement, and manage MEL applications to ensure operational readiness while complying with FAA regulations and JetBlue policies.

Role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work with Dispatch, Maintenance Control, Planning, and Station Operations to optimize maintenance execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience with heavy transport aircraft.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary leadership/ escalation point among Maintenance Control, Local Maintenance, Station Operations, SOC and Dispatch.
• Oversee response to maintenance issues on and off the gate; authorize MEL applications as needed.
• Coordinate with Technical Operations on Airport Operations requests to protect operational integrity.
• Determine aircraft placement for maintenance in collaboration with Maintenance Control, Planning, Local Maintenance, and Station Ops.
• Supervise line station maintenance activities and ensure proper aircraft positioning and support.
• Provide real-time updates to Airport Operations leadership regarding maintenance activity and impact.
• Communicate aircraft removal from and return to service.
• Oversee delay/cancellation reporting and proper coding, and inform leadership.
