Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids is seeking a highly skilled engineer to develop control algorithms for flight control systems, including guidance, autothrottle, and attitude control. You will define system requirements and create models to simulate closed-loop performance, supporting verification and DO-178B/C compliance efforts.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM Bachelor's and have exposure to flight control, Matlab/Simulink, and control theory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field by start date.
• Knowledge of flight control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop control algorithms for flight control systems including guidance and attitude control.
• Define system requirements and interfaces for flight control.
• Create models and simulations to assess closed loop performance.
• Support verification and validation activities and certification.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers across sites.
