Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Florida, is seeking a Senior Control Lead to drive flight control system development for next-generation vehicles. You will design, analyze, and verify control laws for aerodynamic surfaces and actuation systems, guiding a team of GNC engineers through multi-disciplinary collaboration and rigorous testing.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, deep flight dynamics knowledge, and hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C++, and Python to push the boundaries of aerospace

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a technical field such as aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of flight control systems, including design and analysis of control laws for aerodynamic surfaces.
• Oversee models and simulations for flap actuation control systems.
• Conduct analyses and trade studies for performance in hypersonic reentry and transonic regimes.
• Lead verification and validation through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight testing.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of GNC engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate flight control with the vehicle.
• Develop and maintain design specifications, test plans, and analysis reports.
