Blue Origin is seeking a senior Control Lead to design, analyze, and verify control systems for next-generation vehicles. You will lead flight control development, model and test actuation systems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and reliable vehicle performance.

The role requires deep flight dynamics knowledge, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with flight testing and HIL setups. A master's degree and 10+ years in the field are required.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in flight control systems design, development and analysis.
• Experience with flap actuation control systems.
• In-depth knowledge of hypersonic and transonic flight dynamics.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink and related control-design tools.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship/permanent residency or valid work authorization.

Aufgaben

• Lead development of flight control systems and design/analysis of control laws for aerodynamic surfaces.
• Oversee models and simulations for flap actuation control systems.
• Conduct analysis and trade studies for hypersonic reentry and transonic flight performance.
• Lead verification/validation through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and flight tests.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of GNC engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate flight control with the vehicle.
• Develop and maintain design specifications, test plans, and analysis reports.
