Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering hospital-based physical therapy care. The role involves assisting with procedures, documenting patient progress, and ensuring patient safety under supervision.

You will modify treatment within the plan, address age-specific needs, and work to improve patient comfort and outcomes while coordinating with the therapy team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Currently licensed in the state of practice or holding a state-authorized temporary permit/license, where applicable.
• Entry-level acceptable.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy and related tasks.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Coordinate workload and provide technical direction to the Physical Therapy aide as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Address age-specific needs for all patients and ensure safe, respectful care.
