Candidates should have an Associate's degree and be licensed or hold a state-authorized temporary permit. BLS certification is required, with entry-level consideration and 40 hours per week on-site at Mercy facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or state-authorized temporary permit/license in the practicing state.
• Entry-level PTA consideration for experience is acceptable.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy services.
• Document patient progress notes and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
• Safety and effectiveness in delivering PT procedures under supervision.
• Address age-specific needs and provide respectful, compassionate care.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide as directed.
