Job summary

Lakeview Center in Pensacola, FL seeks a Behavior Health Technician to support counselors and nursing staff in residential, inpatient, day/evening, outpatient, and community programs. The role emphasizes establishing supportive relationships, aiding daily living activities, and ensuring safety.

You will help individuals access resources, implement treatment interventions, and monitor progress while maintaining clear documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
• Must be able to pass CPI training.
• Must provide integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services as required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work other behavioral health programs as needed.
• Must pass state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist counselors, therapeutic and nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults and children receiving substance abuse and mental health services.
• Establish a positive helping relationship with people receiving services and support daily living activities.
• Help individuals access needed resources and build pro-social relationships.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
• Implement interventions according to treatment or service plans.
• Monitor and document progress of individuals served.
