Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to patrol client sites across industries. You’ll use a shift-pickup platform to claim shifts based on availability, enabling a flexible schedule and broad site experience.

This role offers hands-on growth and may include irregular shifts with little notice. The position emphasizes reliability, rapid situational assessment, and professional communication with clients and the public.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• A background investigation will be conducted.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required for some postings.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment and communicate with the public.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure authorized removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
