Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in a visible, friendly manner.
• Process transactions at the check lane quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work to control loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies.
• Keep up to date with ads and promotions; maintain food safety and store safety practices.
• Maintain a welcoming environment and answer questions about products and store services.
