Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker for our Fond du Lac, WI store. You will greet customers, help them find products, and process transactions quickly and accurately at the checklane.

Responsibilities include handling cash, checks, credit/debit, and loyalty offers while following store policies. You will ensure a welcoming environment and uphold safety and food safety guidelines for a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in a visible, friendly manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the checklane.
• Operate POS and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons).
• Adhere to company cash-handling limits and loss-prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow posted policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; maintain food safety and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and notify management; assist with equipment maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer product questions to enhance customer experience.
