Job summary

American Family Care in Texas seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver patient care within the scope of training and approved agreement, collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure efficient flow and high patient satisfaction.

The role involves performing histories, exams, ordering tests, formulating diagnoses, initiating therapies, and educating patients. An active PA/NP license with board certification is required; ER/UC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Board Certification – ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA (1 yr ER/UC exp preferred).
• Active and current PA/NP licensure in the state, DEA, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
• Able to multi‑task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed health histories and review patient records.
• Develop medical assessments and order labs, imaging, and diagnostics as appropriate.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization when needed.
• Interpret patient data to determine status and management.
• Provide health care guidance to patients and families.
