Job summary

Mystic Cafe is hiring an Expo/Support Person to run food from kitchen to tables, bus tables, and provide support across service areas. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and help train in multiple support positions to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The role requires understanding of restaurant etiquette, strong customer service, and the ability to work in shifts. Reliable transportation and a professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of restaurant etiquette and service functions.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrable customer service and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, both over the phone and in person.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• Responsible, enthusiastic, reliable, and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to be cross-trained into other areas.
• Commitment to excellence in your job.
• Availability to work in shifts as needed.
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Understand and identify all menu items
• Answer phones, take messages, and book and manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas when needed
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Maintain a clean Expo and reception area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly) when serving food.
• Assist service staff as needed
• Learn a variety of support positions to aid service staff
• Any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor or management
