Job summary

Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut seeks a capable Construction Project Coordinator to support Project Managers and Superintendents on commercial projects in New Haven. You will help develop schedules, budgets, procure materials, and document field activities.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years' experience with a commercial GC, a related degree, knowledge of safety standards and building codes, and proficiency with project management software.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM/SM in creating and maintaining project schedules, timelines, and resources.
• Assist PM in preparing and managing project budgets, including cost estimation and cost control.
• Assist PM in procuring materials and services cost-effectively.
• Solicit and review pricing from subcontractors and suppliers for bids or change orders.
• Help ensure construction projects meet quality and safety standards and comply with regulations.
• Record, track and distribute punch list items and RFIs.
• Prepare and distribute project meeting minutes and maintain docs.
