Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore, MD is seeking a registered nurse for a divisional-based, non-benefited role. The nurse will work in multiple areas within their expertise and provide 60 hours of availability in a 4-week schedule with decreased holiday and weekend commitments, no on-call requirement, and general supervision over patient care.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing, state RN license, two years of procedural nursing experience or approved GBMC RN experience, and BLS

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• At least two years’ experience required in Nursing procedural areas (may include Periop, IR, Cath Lab, Endo, WOSC).
• Current Maryland RN license required.
• BLS certification from an American Heart Association site.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and determine priorities for care.
• Plan and update written nursing care plans incorporating clinical and psychosocial information.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments; initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Coordinate patient care with family and health team members; manage daily patient assignments.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning; participate in teaching activities.
• Support quality improvement activities and professional excellence within the unit.
