Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Team Member for the Huntsville store. You will assist with day-to-day sales floor operations, provide world-class customer service, stock shelves, and handle essential cash register tasks.

You will greet customers quickly, maintain a clean, safe store, and ensure accurate cash handling and PCI compliance. Flexible scheduling includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Preferably previous retail and/or cashier work experience.
• Ability to use a cash register, calculator, and credit card processing machine correctly and make change accurately.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment in recognizing items appropriate for sale.
• Able to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean appearance.
• Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures.
• Able to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team leaders, team members, customers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer service on the sales floor.
• Stock shelves, rotate and display merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness.
• Operate the cash register, balance cash at end of shift within standard limits.
• Follow PCI compliance standards and report suspicious activity.
• Assist customers in locating and purchasing goods and promote shop-ability.
• Cross-train in production and sales tasks as needed.
• Complete training as required and per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
