Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries (AGI) is seeking a Retail Team Member to support daily sales floor operations in Northport, AL. You will assist customers, stock shelves, process transactions, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, accurate cash handling, and flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail or cashier experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferably previous retail and/or cashier work experience.
• Able to use a cash register, calculator, and credit card processing machine correctly and make change accurately.
• Able to demonstrate good judgment in recognizing items appropriate for sale.
• Able to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Able to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures.
• Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team leaders, team members, customers, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer service and assist with day-to-day sales floor operations.
• Stock shelves, rotate and display merchandise, and maintain neat store appearance.
• Process cash transactions and balance cash at end of shift within standard limits.
• Follow PCI compliance and store policies to ensure safe, secure operations.
• Greet customers promptly and help locate and purchase goods.
• Cross-train in production and sales of goods as needed.
