Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and maintain product knowledge to ensure high customer satisfaction.

The role requires a proactive, vigilant, and courteous individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. The Sales Associate will support a positive work culture, engage with customers, and assist with daily store operations including merchandising, cash handling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and inviting them to return
• Follows all safety procedures
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance with a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures and reports incidents
• Performs other duties as assigned
