Job summary

SFS is seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers to join its nationwide network of independent contractors. This role offers flexible, project-based work servicing major retailers and brands.

Typical projects are 12–20 hours per month with occasional two‑week windows, and assignments may include merchandising, resets, audits, and POS installation. As an independent contractor, you choose projects, set your schedule, and earn daily pay (enrollment required).

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising, retail, reset, auditing, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and project documentation.
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned retail locations.
• Smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) with internet access.
• Active email address for project communication and reporting.
• Ability to submit project completion reports and photos on the same day work is performed.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut‑ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as desired and accepted.
• Complete required reporting, including photos and project documentation, using a mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day services are performed.
