Job summary

SFS is growing and seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers for our nationwide network of independent contractors. This role offers flexible, project-based work with some of the nation’s largest retailers and brands, providing an opportunity to earn supplemental income while staying active.

Projects range from 12-20 hours per month, with some locations requiring service during the first two weeks of each month.

Qualifications

• - Previous merchandising, retail, reset, auditing, or customer service experience preferred.
• - Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• - Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• - Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• - Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and project documentation.
• - Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• - Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
• - Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• - Reliable transportation for travel between assigned retail locations.
• - Smartphone or tablet with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as desired and accepted.
• Complete required reporting, including photos and project documentation, using a mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day services are performed.
