Job summary

River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation in Evansville, IN is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. The role focuses on helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and independence in a patient-centered environment.

The PTA will implement therapy plans under a licensed PT, monitor progress, educate residents and caregivers, and document outcomes while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana PTA license
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused care
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the rehab team

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide hands-on interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all standards
• Collaborate with rehab and interdisciplinary teams to support resident outcomes
