Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a part-time, PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. You will deliver prescribed therapeutic exercises, document progress, and educate patients on home exercises while coordinating with the care team.

This role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and Indiana PTA license, with 1–2 years of experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active PTA license in the State of Indiana.
• 1–2 years in a clinical setting preferred (new grads welcome!).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to varying treatment loads and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and treatments as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress clearly and accurately using standardized assessments.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with the care team during treatment planning, discharge preparation, and daily huddles.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness.
• Maintain therapy equipment and report any issues to ensure a safe environment.
