Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. This PRN role offers flexible hours, including weekends, to support inpatient and outpatient therapy.

You will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver prescribed exercises, document progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team on treatment planning and discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Active PTA license in Indiana.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (new grads welcome).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient progress using standardized assessments.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with the care team during treatment planning, discharge preparation, and daily huddles.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness.

Join a dynamic rehab team where your hands-on care helps patients regain mobility, independence, and confidence. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver personalized treatment plans, track progress, and support patients throughout their recovery journey.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and treatments as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress clearly and accurately using standardized assessments.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with the care team during treatment planning, discharge preparation, and daily huddles.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
