Job summary

Schertz Cibolo Emergency Center is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients in our front office. You will greet patients, collect accurate demographic and insurance information, and support registration with a focus on friendly, efficient service.

In this role in a fast-paced ED setting, you will collaborate with clinical staff, maintain patient records, and balance daily transaction paperwork while upholding compliance and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Minimum two years of face-to-face customer service experience.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA card) required.
• Experience handling patient records and insurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect demographic and insurance information for registration.
• Maintain patient database and update records per procedures.
• Process daily registration transactions and balance paperwork.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient service.
• Communicate professionally with patients and team.
