Job summary

Procare EL PASO EMERGENCY ROOM WEST is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator (Front Office) to greet patients and register them, collecting accurate demographics and insurance information while coordinating with clinical staff to deliver outstanding service.

The role requires strong communication, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced ED environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a commitment to quality, ethics, and teamwork to support the facility's mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Minimum of two years of face-to-face customer service experience.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider with an AHA-recognized card.
• Experience with patient records and understanding of insurance plans preferred.
• Experience working in an Emergency Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and obtain complete demographic and insurance data for registration.
• Communicate effectively with individuals and groups in high-stress situations.
• Manage multiple changing priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service.
• Update and maintain the patient database according to procedures.
• Complete and balance all daily transaction paperwork.
• Maintain open communication with all team members.
• Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, appearance, and adherence to health and safety procedures.
