Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners is seeking a Surgical Technologist for its Float Pool in the Phoenix area. This PRN role involves traveling between multiple outpatient surgery centers, primarily Monday through Friday with no weekends or on-call requirements.

A minimum commitment of 4 shifts per month keeps your schedule flexible. You will assist in selecting and placing instruments, passing tools, and supporting sterile procedures throughout surgical cases while adhering to aseptic standards and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
BLS required. Where applicable, must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
Position requires manual dexterity and ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations.
Ability to be conscientious, organized, and respond quickly to the needs of the surgeon and patient.

Responsibilities

Prepares for surgical procedures; pulls instruments and supplies and ensures good working order.
Anticipates surgeon's needs; passes instruments and operates equipment during surgery.
Demonstrates aseptic technique and universal precautions; disposes of sharps and trash; participates in counting and preparing instruments for cleaning.
Ensures surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.
Assists with OR turnover; stocks, replenishes supplies, and cleans operating rooms.
May provide business support to the department with assigned administrative tasks.
