Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Network Float Pool across various locations in the Phoenix area. This role supports sterile processing, instrument handling, and operating room readiness.

The position requires an inpatient surgical setting background, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification. An associates degree in Surgical Technology is preferred, with opportunities to grow within a large nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates in Surgical Technology preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepare for surgeries by pulling appropriate instruments and supplies.
• Assume accountability for instrumentation and return to decontamination or Central Sterile Processing.
• Actively participate as a scrub team member and orient new staff.
• Restock and clean operating rooms and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area; report unsafe conditions.
• Assist with orientation and evaluation of new staff and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
