Job summary

AmeriPharma is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in home infusion therapy to join our team in California. This role combines infusion therapy and patient education, providing in-home care for therapies such as TPN, IVIG, and IV biologics.

The RN will conduct in-home visits, educate patients, and collaborate with pharmacy teams under the Director of Nursing guidance. Per diem, independent contractor status with flexible hours is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current RN state license.
• 2+ years of experience in home infusion and infusion centers.
• 2+ experience with IV Immunoglobulins and IV Biologics; CRNI preferred.
• Experience with peripheral IV starts, infusion therapy, and phlebotomy for adults/pediatrics.
• Interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Proficient in computer skills including word processing, internet and email.
• CPR and BLS certification, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home infusion therapy visits per care plan.
• Prepare nursing notes and document interventions in records.
• Act as a clinical resource, collaborating with pharmacy departments.
• Maintain knowledge of drug side effects and interactions.
• Provide telephone and in-person patient education on therapy protocols and procedures.
• Ensure patients understand therapy plans and adherence importance.
• Serve as a liaison among patient, family, and pharmacy to ensure seamless care.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and initiate preventive care.
• Use health data and input from care team to determine patient needs.
• Manage expectations regarding services, outcomes, and discharge goals.
• Develop care plans with interventions and supplies to meet goals.
• Regularly evaluate progress and revise plans as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
