Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States in Minneapolis is hiring a Per Diem Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Minneapolis, MN clinics. The role supports reproductive health services, conducts patient intake, labs, and contraceptive education, with per diem scheduling of 32 hours per month.

The position offers competitive hourly pay ($20-$25 for MA, $24-$28 for LPN), on-site hours, and SEIU membership.

Qualifications

• MA requires completion of a Medical Assisting diploma program or an Associate degree, or current EMT/Paramedic licensure, or 6+ months experience at PPNCS.
• LPN requires active LPN license in Minnesota and current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Interview and screen patients, document in EMR, prep for examinations.
• Perform routine lab tests including venipuncture and communicate results.
• Provide contraceptive information and unbiased patient education.
• Manage inventory and assist clinicians as needed.
• Follow HIPAA, mandated reporting, and clinic policies.
