Job summary

UPMC Central PA is seeking per diem adult and senior care physicians to join our growing post-acute care team in the Cumberland region and help provide high-quality, compassionate care to our geriatric population across skilled nursing facilities.

Primary care, hospitalists, and geriatric-trained physicians are encouraged to apply, with clinical rounds Monday through Friday, flexible schedules, and phone-based overnight/weekend call shared with partners and APPs.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Internal, Family, or Geriatric Medicine.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to geriatric patients.
• Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Team oriented with collaboration with APPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple facilities in skilled nursing, rehab, and clinics.
• Coordinate with facility leadership and discharge teams.
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers.
• Use EPIC EMR and PACS for orders, imaging, and labs.
• Clinical rounds M-F with flexible schedules; phone-based call on overnight/weekends.
