Job summary

ScanScape is hiring a part-time Retail Scan Associate to visit local grocery and mass retailers, scan barcodes on displays and aisles, and collect store data across 52 weeks. The base hours average 2–5 per week per store, with extra hours for special projects.

You will use a mobile app to scan items, report quantities, and ensure timely delivery of data to our clients. A reliable vehicle and valid license are required, along with basic tech savvy and Wi-Fi access.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan product barcodes on displays and aisles.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes and report quantities for about 45% of products scanned.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store weekly, which can take several hours.
• Support Custom Projects that add 30 minutes to 2 hours in some weeks.
• Maintain reliability to meet weekly deadlines and client requirements.
