Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit stores weekly to scan barcodes on displays and aisles. The data gathered supports sales performance for major retailers.

The role offers flexible hours and travel reimbursement, with opportunities for additional project work during the year. Associates use a mobile app to scan barcodes and complete weekly data collection across grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with state auto insurance.
• Able to endure being on your feet for long periods.
• Able to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend/stretch.
• Able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms and legs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit designated local retailers weekly for data collection across store types (grocery, convenience, drug, pet, mass merchandise).
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes throughout each store.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of products scanned.
• Complete display scanning weekly; some weeks include Custom Projects adding 30 minutes to 2 hours.
