Job summary

Hondros College of Nursing in Independence, OH is seeking a part-time, on-site Clinical Instructor to teach within the Nursing program. The role includes lab and clinical instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students through the clinical curriculum.

The position supports flexible scheduling up to 24 hours per week, with competitive hourly pay and educational benefits. Active OH RN licensure, BSN, and current BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Three or more years full-time RN experience (or part-time equivalent).
• Active OH RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Ability to provide official transcripts for each degree earned.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in a lab setting or off campus in a clinical setting as needed.
• Promote a positive learning environment and work collaboratively to assure full instruction of the clinical component of the curriculum.
• Create a high level of student engagement by planning the student clinical experience.
• Supervise and orient students to the clinical site and to applicable policies and procedures.
• Evaluate each student’s achievement and progress, providing feedback.
• Participate as a member of the Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees.
