Job summary

Hondros College of Nursing in West Chester, OH is seeking a part-time on-site Clinical Instructor to teach within the Nursing program. The ideal candidate will bring clinical RN experience and be able to mentor students in a lab and clinical setting.

No formal teaching experience is required initially as training is provided, and instructors will work up to 24 hours per week with weekend considerations as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Three or more years full-time work experience as an RN (or part-time equivalent).
• Active Ohio RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Ability to provide official transcripts for each degree earned.
• Current American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students off campus at our clinical sites and/or in a lab setting.
• Promote a positive learning environment and work collaboratively to assure full instruction of the clinical component of the curriculum.
• Create a high level of student engagement by planning the student clinical experience.
• Supervise and orient students to the clinical site as well as to all applicable policies and procedures.
• Evaluate each student’s achievement and progress, providing valuable feedback.
• Participate as a member of the Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees.
