Job summary

First Children Services is seeking a Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) to implement Individual Support Plans under supervision. The role offers flexibility across multiple settings including schools, clinics, and homes within Plainfield, Roselle Park, Westfield and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include data collection, plan implementation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years working with children.
• Comfortable with a variety of children and behavioral needs across settings without direct supervisor.
• Demonstrate competence with ABA principles and interventions.
• Perform administrative tasks including creating program materials and maintaining environment.
• Proficient in using technology for daily documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
• Willingness to accept and implement feedback.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and run during shift.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with clients in designated region.
• Read and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collect session data and submit documentation timely.
• Support healthy communication, social and behavioral skills.
• Provide interactive therapeutic support to extinguish or minimize maladaptive behaviors.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to improve outcomes.
• Complete admin tasks when billable hours are unavailable.
