Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Srmed Security Officer - Flex - Access Control in Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings while maintaining a reliable base schedule.

Responsibilities include customer service at a government location, armed patrols, access control monitoring, incident response, and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Perform armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, conducting regular and random rounds to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify identification and authorization in accordance with established government facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining professional conduct and following applicable policies and procedures.
