Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for Preceptor South – Racine & Kenosha Counties.

The OTA is employed or contracted through the Organization and works under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist to implement care standards for occupational therapy services. Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Wisconsin.
• Must be eligible for or have taken the NBCOT OT assistant certification examination.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured.

Responsibilities

• Participates in ongoing evaluation of patient’s functional status as delegated by the registered occupational therapist.
• Participates in teaching new skills or retraining patients in daily activities as delegated.
• Maintains clinical records and reports changes in the patient’s condition.
• Submits clinical documentation in accordance with Organization policy.
• Follows treatment programs and documents patient progress toward goals.
• Maintains communication with other care personnel to promote coordinated care.
