Job summary

GIS Field Services, Inc. is seeking reliable Mortgage Field Inspectors to perform property inspections for mortgage companies on a flexible schedule. This 1099 contract role offers the ability to work part-time or full-time, with inspections often conducted in Utah counties and paid weekly.

Inspectors assess occupancy, document property conditions, and complete reports via a mobile app. Prior experience is a plus but not required; strong self-management is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills are required.
• No licensing or certifications required, but a valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Reliable vehicle with auto insurance to travel within your territory.
• Smartphone (iPhone or Android) and a computer with internet access are needed.
• Printer and basic office supplies to support inspections.
• Ability to obtain Shield ID (onboarding link provided if you join GIS)
• HUD/Inspector Keys access provided via GIS onboarding

Responsibilities

• Conduct property inspections for existing mortgage loans.
• Determine occupancy status (occupied or vacant).
• Photograph and document property condition.
• Deliver door notices and verify utility status.
• Complete reports using a mobile app (InspectorADE).
• Communicate regularly with the Inspection Relations Coordinator.
