Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Commerce, GA is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join our care teams. You will perform sample collection, venipuncture, and specimen handling in accordance with CMS CLIA standards and Piedmont policies.

No experience is required; 1 year of phlebotomy experience and CPT certification are preferred. Training is provided within a collaborative clinical environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
