Job summary

The Lakes Home Care in Florida is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support therapists in evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric to geriatric populations.

You will assist with assessments, implement therapy plans, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to help patients communicate more effectively in daily life. This role offers flexible hours and clinical growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in patient assessments and information gathering.
• Implement prescribed therapies and exercises under supervision.
• Provide direct patient care and document progress during sessions.
• Support development and modification of treatment plans.
• Instruct patients in exercises to improve speech and language skills.
• Collaborate on augmentative/alternative communication strategies.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss plans and progress.
