Job summary

The Lakes Home Care is seeking a Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will work with patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations to treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities include assisting Speech-Language Pathologists, implementing activities, documenting progress, and supporting treatment plans while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure or certification.
• Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and therapeutic techniques.
• Commitment to maintaining licensure and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in patient assessments.
• Implement prescribed therapeutic activities under supervision.
• Provide direct patient care and document progress.
• Support treatment plan development and modification.
• Instruct patients in exercises to improve speech and communication.
• Collaborate on augmentative and alternative communication strategies.
• Communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss treatment plans.
