Savant Senior Living, LLC. in Woodland, CA is seeking an Activities Assistant to enhance residents’ quality of life through engaging activities and programs. You will collaborate with the Activities Director to plan and lead social, cultural, and therapeutic activities for seniors.

You’ll set up and run events, tailor activities to individual needs, ensure safety, and support outings while maintaining records and fostering a warm, inclusive environment for all residents.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
• First Aid/ CPR Certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field are a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an assisted living or senior care setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate a diverse range of activities and programs for residents.
• Engage residents in recreational, social, cultural, and educational activities.
• Develop monthly activity calendars with the Activities Director.
• Set up activity areas and gather supplies.
• Guide and assist residents during activities ensuring safety and engagement.
• Encourage participation and adapt programs for varying abilities.
• Maintain records of resident participation and provide feedback to the Activities Director.
• Escort residents to activities and assist with transportation.
• Decorate common areas for seasonal events and social occasions.
• Support community outings and off-site activities.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed.
