Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering friendly, high-quality service in Easton, PA. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and report suspicious activity to store leadership as part of a team dedicated to safety and loss prevention.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the store entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft and maintain a safe shopping environment.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and energetic greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store associates per safety standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
