Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate at our North Haven, CT store.

You will help maintain a secure shopping environment by monitoring entrances and high-risk areas while delivering friendly customer service and upholding store standards. Responsibilities include greeting customers, reducing opportunities for theft, training associates on shortage reduction, reporting incidents to management, and collaborating with store leadership to protect assets.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and monitor environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and stay vigilant at the front of the store.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
• Know top shortage areas and support programs aimed at theft reduction.
• Communicate theft prevention information during store rallies with the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag checks ensuring safety and security standards.
• Understand your role in keeping the store and assets safe.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction processes.
